Soft Starter

A Soft Starter is a power electronic device that controls the starting and stopping process of three-phase AC motors, helping to limit inrush current and reduce torque. Unlike VFDs, it only adjusts voltage during start/stop phases and typically uses a bypass to connect the motor directly to the grid. Ideal for applications requiring smooth starts such as pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors. Selection should be based on motor power, voltage, and load characteristics.
